Rawhide

Fleshing
Also referred to as trimming or siding, is the method of disposal of fats, meat and cartilage from hides
in preparation for tanning. The tools used such as knives and fleshing beam.
Tanning
The art of making leather from rawhide hide the true preservation and preparation to absorb dye stuff.
This can be done through a chemical process in a large vat or drum.
Splitting
After the tanned hides and remnants of moisture removed, the skin is inserted into the machine that
cuts into the top grain leather and split layers.After splitting, the skin is placed in another machine leveling

Buffing

Deliming

Embossing

or wat will be more tender than the skin off, although this can be overcome by milling process.Other factors
affecting softness include tannin quality and aniline used.The execution of the post-tanning, such as: dyeing, rolling, pressing, lackering, antiquing, waxing, buffing, embossing, glazing, waterproofing,
or flame proofing.
Milling
Tanned skin in da distorted drum using heat and water to sofren the grain.
Picking
The process that uses salt ad acid for preserving hides for up to six months.
